Locality: Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico, 2026
Grade: F+++/GEM
Dredged at 100-150 meters depth
The shell is absolutely gorgeous, you can clearly see the iconic “music score” patterning that gives this species its name: the horizontal lines crossed by dark spots resembling musical notes. The laevigata subspecies tends to have a smoother, more polished surface with a lighter, creamier base color compared to damula, and this example shows that beautifully.
At nearly 95mm in F+++/GEM condition, this is an exceptional size for the subspecies: a top-tier collector piece.
VERY BEAUTIFUL PATTERN! HIGH QUALITY!
